    No screws. No nails. Five wooden wedges hold the Lounge Chair together, translating a traditional woodworking joint into a clear, contemporary design. Generous surfaces on both sides provide ample space for stacks of your favourite books while framing the inviting upholstered seat. Like a distinctive seam, the solid stainless-steel legs are set into the wooden surface, giving the Schneidersitz its name and defining character.

    • Wood: Wood is a living material that appreciates a little attention from time to time. A gentle furniture polish is enough to refresh the wood with a soft cloth.

      Metal:       Powder-coated steel is a robust and durable material that is protected against corrosion. In itself, powder-coated steel requires no special care. A gentle cleaning agent for furniture is sufficient to clean it occasionally.

      Upholstery fabric:       The upholstery fabric of the Schneidersitz was adapted to the upholstery by hand. To ensure an optimal fit for a long time, it is advisable to have the upholstery fabric professionally cleaned.

    • Shipping: The item is shipped partially assembled. Only the backrest needs to be placed into the designated slot and secured with the enclosed wedge.

      Wedge Connection: The wedge connection is a historical furniture joint based on tension and form fit. Should the backrest connection loosen over time, it simply needs to be pushed back into place by hand to restore its original firmness.

      Solid Wood: As solid wood is a living material, visual deviations from the representations on this website and minimal deviations from the stated measurements are normal.
